Feed the Beast

Sometimes you stop and wonder what monsters eat. Dragons and the like seem easy, as they’re carnivorous and willing to devour almost anything – but stopping to consider the quantity of food needed raises questions. But how about fey creatures. What do dyrads eat? Treants? Unicorns. Grass and leaves seem likely on the surface, but they do have magical requirements beyond that of mundane horses.

Comedy aside there could be an interesting bit of lore there, such as requiring unicorns to only drink from clear springs to sustain their magical purity. What happens if the spring becomes fouled?
