Yeah, I’m still going “political” at times in this comic. Despite being smacked down on Twitter I’m too argumentative not to call “BS!” and poke fun.
I’ve seen this argument on ENWorld before in relation to a gay couple being presented in Tomb of Annihilation, which was included so a D&D creator could have a family unit like his in the book, a family that was like the one he had with his partner and child. It was quote-unquote political merely to have someone like him in the book. Just by having the audacity to exist, he was partisanly political.
Yeah… Twitter and ENWorld makes *EVERYTHING* “political”. 9_9
I have been hearing some folks online whine about how “inclusion is ruining the hobby”, but to me that is silly as RPGs are escapists in nature, and part of that is indulging through one’s own character out of catharsis. Even the jockiest of cheesecake-loving Conan gamers I know, including myself, are A-OK with players playing LGTB characters, largely due to a basic understanding of subjective tastes and desires. “What ever floats you boat” and “smoke ’em if you got ’em” is my model.
