Self Destruct (Ex) The creeper violently explodes killing itself and dealing 6d6 points of fire damage in a 10-foot radius (DC 14 Reflex save for half damage). The save DC is Constitution based.


Creepers are a dangerous self-destructive animate plant renowned for their silence.

Creepers come for spores. These spores grow across the ground during the day as unremarkable foliage but once fully grown they rise during the night, silently moving across the landscape. This grants creepers their reputation of seeming to come from nowhere.

As creepers grow they produce nitrogen in their bodies; when close to a living creature, creepers ignite this pocket of gas creating a violent explosion that kills the creeper and releases thousands of spores. Creatures that manage to survive carry the spores with them propagating the species.
